Junior Island Mountain Biking - 2025 Race 1

After a long wait following the devastating storms of last winter we are excited to announce Race 1 of the Junior Island Mountain Biking 2025 Series!

Racing for all youth age categories from Under 6 Balance Bikes and riders learning to pedal, through to under 16.

Courses are designed to be accessible to all abilities in order to learn new skills riding off-road. No fancy bikes required, but we would recommend knobbly tires to make sure your little rider has grip in the trees.

Helmets are mandatory, ensure handlebars have plugs in the ends, dress for the weather! We highly recommend kids wear gloves to ride for warmth and to protect their hands in case of a little hiccup. All the local bike shops will be able to help if you need any help or advice.
