Do you enjoy watching the pottery throwdown? Have you noticed there are different clays used for different projects? This session is all about exploring clays, some are easy going, some are grumpy. There are pure white clays, speckled clays and buff clays. Some smooth, some very course with grog. They all behave differently. You will be exploring 4 clays, stressing them and pushing them to the limits. There is a chance to explore mark making too. Each will be glazed with a tin white glaze to bring out the colour. There will be different clays to last years session.
Pieces will be kiln fired and ready about 3 weeks later.
Class is from 7pm to 9pm, Thursday 8th January 2026 at Tolpuddle Old Chapel, 59a Main Road, Tolpuddle, DT2 7ET. There is even tea and coffee facilities.
Refunds on classes are not available if cancelled less than 14 days before the class.
