The Witching Hour: Magic & Ritual at Sunset in Jackdaw Wood.
Saturday 8th November, £20pp
As the sun dips below the horizon, Jackdaw Wood awakens with whispers of ancient power.
The stone circle, weathered by centuries, becomes a conduit between worlds—where light fades and shadow deepens, and the veil between realms grows thin.
Setting the Scene
Gather at the heart of the wood as the last rays of sunlight filter through the trees. The air hums with anticipation, carrying the scent of moss and earth. Candles flicker around the stones, marking the sacred boundary of the circle.
Ritual Preparation
Cleanse the Space – Burn sage or cedar to purify the area. Walk clockwise around the circle, letting the smoke drift over each stone.
Ground the Self – Stand barefoot on the soil. Breathe deeply, feeling the pulse of the earth beneath.
Invoke the Elements –
North (Earth): Sprinkle salt or soil.
East (Air): Wave incense smoke.
South (Fire): Light a candle or lantern.
West (Water): Pour a few drops of water onto the ground.
Then we will complete The Sunset Spell
The magic lingers in the air, a reminder that every sunset carries the power of endings and beginnings intertwined.
