Winter Fun Day 2026

Join Wapsi Naturalists to discover the wonders of winter at the Wapsi River Center. They day will offer opportunities to get outside and explore, meet Animal Ambassador owls, and indulge in delicious chili! Space is limited. Online registration is required for this FREE event! See below for the registration links.

There will be 2 concurrent programs from 9:00-10:30am and 3 concurrent programs from 10:30am-12:00pm. The online registration link is listed under each session below. You can only register for 2 programs, one for the 9:00am session and one for the 10:30am session because of overlap of timing. In the event of no snow or poor conditions, the 9:00 AM session will be cancelled. The 10:30 A.M. session will be adjusted to a winter hike. The SuperB Owl program and Chili "Kick-off" will be held as planned.
The annual Chili "Kick-off" will take place from 12:00-1:00pm. It is hosted by our Friends of the Wapsi Center group. Please bring your best chili creation to share, and possibly win the coveted chili cup! Or, come sample other delicious recipes and help us vote! We will provide the dinnerware and toppings.
