Digby Christmas Bird Count 4 Kids

It's that time of year again! Christmas Bird Count season!
The Christmas Bird Count is the longest-running citizen science project in the world. Each holiday season, bird enthusiasts in warm and cold areas set out to identify and count as many birds as they can, helping scientists track bird populations and understand what they reveal about the health of our natural world.
The Christmas Bird Count 4 Kids is a special youth-friendly version of this tradition, led by conservation groups that work with young people to spark curiosity and build birding skills.
Join us Saturday, Jan. 3rd at Van Tassel Lake Trail from 10AM-12PM to learn about local birds, migration, adaptation, and more. Binoculars will be available to borrow.
Please register in advance so we can plan for safety and make sure we have enough supplies. The count is free and families do not need to stay for the full two hours.

This event is hosted by the Young Naturalists Club, a nature club for kids and their families that meets monthly for outdoor adventures.
