Bellydance Workshop - Driftwood: A Drum Solo Journey

Join Karma Bellydance as we host our 2025 workshop, featuring Michigan local Heather Marie!

When: Saturday September 20, 2025

Time: 11:00am-4:30pm (includes Part1&2, middle break, then snacks and socialize)

Where: 3115 Broad St, Dexter, MI 48130

What: Part 1- Heather's signature style technique & Part 2 - choreography then snacks and socializing afterwards 3:30-4:30pm

Created by Heather Marie and partner, Ryan Gates, Driftwood is a dynamic drum solo that blends traditional elements with Heather’s signature Liquid Fusion stylizations.

In this two-part workshop, in part 1 you’ll break down the crisp technique and intricate rhythms of Driftwood, then in part 2 bring the entire dance together in a stunning choreography.

From juicy isolations to bold accents, Driftwood is your chance to shine with a rhythm-packed, audience-wowing piece!

Schedule

10:30-11:00am. - check- in

11:00am-1:00pm - part 1: technique

1:00-1:30pm - break (re-hydrate and re-engerize!)

1:30-3:30pm - part 2: choreography

3:30-4:30pm - snacks and socializing* (karma will provide some snacks, you bring the social !) *No alcohol permitted
