Enkindle is a three-day conference for young adults put on by Miles Christi, pursuing intellectual formation, interior life, and Catholic fellowship. It seeks to engage the whole person on their path to sanctity.
Enkindle gathers Catholic speakers to help form young adults with practical wisdom in order to grow in holiness and become effective apostles of Christ in the world.
However, Enkindle is not just a conference. In it, we provide opportunities to receive the grace of God through personal and communal prayer, sacraments, spiritual direction, and spiritual talks.
Social events, games and sports throughout the conference also encourage the forming of true friendships and real joy.
Theme 2025: The Saints Who Built America
There is an insistence, and rightly so, on the Founding Fathers as those who set the foundations of America. However, would the America that we know today be the same without the hidden, heroic, and persevering sacrifice of our Saints?
Would education be as widespread and open to all without the dedication of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. John Nuemann, and St. Katherine Drexel? Would “the outcast” have been treated with dignity, allowing us to boast of the diversity of America, without the kindness of St. Frances Cabrini, St. Rose Phillipine Duchesne, and St. Damian of Moloki? Would so many have come to know the Faith without the fortitude of St. Isaac Jocgues and the North American Martyrs, St. Junipero Serra, and Fr. De Smet? Among the canonized Saints, Blesseds, and Venerables of the United States are immigrants, African Americans, and a Native American, all of whom helped to build our country by both bringing and strengthening the Faith to the most remote places and by starting schools, hospitals, orphanages, and much more.
In our culture today, we see many who have rejected Catholicism, and even more tragically, many who are completely indifferent to knowing the Truth. They look to the world for satisfaction. In order to face this challenge of “re-christianizing” our country, we must look to the Saints Who Built America.
At Enkindle 2025, we will learn about these saints and be challenged and inspired by their kindness, fortitude, perseverance, and love of God and neighbor in order to build the Catholic America of tomorrow.
