We would highly recommend bringing a headtorch or small hand held torch if you have one, to assist with walking after dusk. You will need some warm layers, a waterproof jacket (just in case!) & boots or wellies.
Starting at Poulshot Village Hall we will have a stroll around Poulshot with an ecologist, Simon Parkes. We will be discussing & finding what bat species we have in the area using his special detectors 🦇🌿
This will be a new route we didn't take last year, including walking up/down an incline, some muddy areas & through a tiny woodland off the beaten track - perfect for Bats!
Simon well do his best to ensure we have lots of handheld bat detectors to use for this Bat Walk so you can get to grips with detecting the different species we have in our village 🌳🦇
This event is FREE for members & £5 for non-members. Suitable for children over 12 & adults.
We are really looking forward to Simon's return with another Bat talk - the last one was very popular & this location will be very interesting!! 🥰

During the walk we will explore the local area's bat wildlife & end back at the Village Hall for hot drinks, wine & nibbles 🍷🌿
