2025 Des Plaines Halloween Home Decorating Contest

Get your spookiest decorations ready, the Des Plaines Halloween Home Decorating Contest is back! Did we mention it's FREE to all Des Plaines households! We will release a list of the finalists on October 20th, feel free to check out the contestants and let us know who you think was the scariest house this year!
Judging takes place October 19-October26, from 6:00–10:00pm each day. Homes should be illuminated
for judging. Decorations must be visible from the street. The Des Plaines Camera Club will take photos of all the finalists. Winners announced in the Des Plaines Journal & Topics newspaper October 29th edition. Prizes will be awarded!
