Looking for a spring break experience right here in Des Moines? Look no further! Des Moines Parks and Recreation invites your family to join us for a week of excitement and fun-filled activities at Pioneer Columbus Community Recreation Center. Scheduled activities from Monday to Thursday are designed for children aged 5-12.
📆 Dates: Monday, March 16 - Friday, March 20
⏰ Time: Activities from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. daily
📍 Location: Pioneer Columbus Community Recreation Center
💲 Cost: Just $1 per child/per day!
Structured Activities Include:
➡️ Sports Mini-Clinics: Learn the basics and practice a variety of skills! Each day focuses on a different sport:
🏀 Basketball: Monday
⚾️ Baseball: Tuesday
⚽️ Soccer: Wednesday
🏐 Volleyball: Thursday
➡️ Nature Programs: 🐞Explore bugs, birds and Iowa animals through hands-on learning, visitors and crafts with our Environmental Education Supervisor, Joel!🌿
➡️ Recess Games: Enjoy classic recess games like Capture the Flag and Dodgeball!⛳️
➡️ Friday Fun: Open Gym for all ages on March 20!🎉
