Reiki is a mystery. There is no one living today who knows its true origin, although we do have clues as to its meaning. 'Reiki' breaks down into two Japanese words: 'rei' and 'ki.' 'Rei' means universal, sun, sacred power. 'Ki' translates as life energy, the same life energy that the Chinese refer to as qi (chi). From this, we can understand Reiki as a universal life energy that can be used for healing, grounding, meditation, personal and spiritual growth.
With Reiki we can take our health and well being literally into our own hands. We can take an active role in improving our own physical, mental and spiritual health.
The instructor of this level I class, Dr. Gayle Curtis has over 20 of years Reiki experience and is excited to welcome you to the practice of Reiki.
