Printing Press Poster-Making 🪧 & Potluck!🍗

Learn the power of the press! Craft your own message and pull multiple prints to use from rally to rally. Participants will learn to use the portable Provisional Press, learning new skills from activist and organizer Julie Russell-Steuart ( https://www.instagram.com/PowerofthePress) No experience needed.

Hosted at the offices of AFSCME Council 61, Russell-Steuart will give a short history on protest posters and activism, then facilitate individual and group projects.

Potential areas of focus include labor (of course!), taxes, tariffs, Social Security, and Medicare, or any other direction you’re called to go.

There are plenty of opportunities to demonstrate how effective messages break through communication bubbles and make a visual splash about the issues you care about. This workshop aims to help you elevate your voice and serve as a laboratory for creative methods of protest.
