Heart of the Nation: Fallen 13 Heroes Remembrance Walk

Join the Blue Star Mothers of Iowa as we honor the 13 U.S. service members who gave their lives on August 26, 2021, at Abbey Gate, HKIA, Kabul, Afghanistan.

This Fallen 13 Heroes Remembrance Walk is a time to come together as a community—family, friends, veterans, and supporters—to remember their courage and sacrifice. With every step, we carry forward their memory and reflect on the true Heart of the Nation: the brave men and women who serve.

If you’re unable to join us in person, we invite you to participate virtually by walking in your own community in remembrance.
