JOIN US MONDAY SEPTEMBER 1st, TO CELEBRATE A UNION MADE HOLIDAY FOR LABOR!
2025 Labor Day Parade
PARK INSIDE THE MAIN GATE ON GRAND AVENUE AT THE FAIRGROUNDS. BUSES WILL BE AVAILABLE STARTING AT 8AM TO BRING YOU TO THE STATE CAPITOL. THE PARADE WILL START AT 11AM AND WILL END BACK AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
The staging location for this year's 2025 Labor Day Parade will be altered slightly due to ongoing construction at the Lucas Building parking lot (15). Therefore, all groups that typically assemble there will instead gather at parking lot 16, located at the intersection of Des Moines Street and E. Grand. Once the parade begins, participants are instructed to exit onto Des Moines Street and proceed west toward E 12th St to join the parade procession.
FOLLOWING THE PARADE THERE WILL BE A PICNIC FOR MEMBERS, THEIR FAMILIES AND SPECIAL GUESTS AT LABOR UNION PARK (4640 MORNINGSTAR DRIVE IN DES MOINES). AT THE PARK THERE WILL BE LIVE MUSIC, FOOD, DRINKS, INFLATABLES, FACE PAINTINGS & AIRBRUSH TATTOOS! WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU THERE, IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT TIME!
