CBC Radio presents a live taping of its flagship program The Current from a unique venue on the Canada US border, the Haskell Free Library & Opera House.
Join us for a special evening of music and conversation, as host Matt Galloway welcomes bestselling author Louise Penny and musical guest Patrick Watson in a historic venue that straddles the border between Quebec and Vermont.
Louise Penny is the author of the Inspector Gamache mysteries. Key scenes from her new novel, The Black Wolf, are set at the Haskell.
Patrick Watson is a Polaris Prize winning singer-songwriter known for his classically inflected cabaret pop. His new album Uh Oh speaks powerfully to the anxieties of the current moment.
Tickets are free. Reservations are required. This event will be recorded for future broadcast on CBC Radio.
Please be aware that the Haskell Free Library & Opera House is not a border crossing. International law requires you to exit through the same door you enter.
