For that reason, this event was launched last year through the Community Assistance School Lunch Program, which raised $41,672.87 in support of students and families. Building on that success, we are proud to bring back this impactful event to continue making a positive difference in our community.

Derby Public Schools and the Derby Rotary Club are joining forces for a Community Garage Sale with a Purpose: No Child Goes Hungry. This special event, set to coincide with Derby’s city-wide garage sale weekend, is more than just an opportunity to declutter or find a great deal, it’s a chance for our community to come together to ensure that every student has access to a nutritious school meal, regardless of their financial situation.

All proceeds will directly support the Community Assistance Lunch Program, which provides meal funds for students in need. This is an opportunity for each of us to make a real difference in the lives of local children—one purchase, one donation or one volunteer shift at a time.
