The Black Box and Get Em High are proud to present “For The Record”, a live event series dedicated to celebrating the art of sampling and the producers who transform forgotten vinyl into hip hop gems.
“For The Record - Vol. 3” will take place on November 28th, 2025, at The Black Box in Denver, CO. Known for its cutting-edge, custom built sound system, The Black Box offers the perfect venue to highlight the textures, chops, and rhythms of sampling-based music in full fidelity—placing the producer’s craft front and center.
About Just Blaze:
Working with the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Drake along with many more - Just Blaze has produced some of the biggest hip-hop anthems of the 2000s. A New Jersey native, the man born Justin Smith dropped out of Rutgers University to pursue his musical dreams, but what he lost in traditional education he more than made up for in real life experience. From being a teenage DJ to learning how to program computers and being fascinated with video game music, Smith made his name by bringing a unique perspective to hip-hop production at a time when the genre needed it most.
