On October 25, Día de los Muertos at Civic Center, presented by Denver Botanic Gardens, will bring our community together as a collective to honor the presence of our ancestors and loved ones who have passed. This event allows our community to reflect on having a greater cultural understanding of death as a common human experience.
Civic Center Conservancy supports the vision of local curator, community builder, and owner of Manos Sagrados, Alicia “Bruce” Trujillo, who is serving as Artistic and Cultural Director. Under the direction of Manos Sagrados’ team, Colorful Colorado Collaborations and D3 Arts will collaborate on this event to bring a unique, memorable, and authentic celebrations including:
- Community Altars
- Interactive Art Installations
- Authentic Music and Dance
- Traditional Poetry and Storytelling
- Artisan & Craft Marketplace
- Mexican & Latin American Food Trucks
- Family-Friendly Activities
- Community Ofrenda
- Massive marigold installations
- Procession

El 25 de octubre, Dia de los Muertos en Civic Center, presentado por Denver Botanic Gardens, reunirá a nuestra comunidad para honrar colectivamente la presencia de nuestros ancestros y seres queridos que han fallecido. Este evento nos invita a reflexionar y profundizar en una mayor comprensión de la muerte como una experiencia humana compartida.
