Join us before dawn on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 6:00 AM for our Rorate Mass at St John Paull II Catholic Church in Denton, TX in
The Rorate Mass is a centuries-old Advent custom; a votive Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, celebrated in near darkness and illuminated only by candlelight. As the sun slowly rises, the church fills with light; a symbol of Christ, the Light of the world, drawing near at Christmas.
This Mass reminds us that in the darkness of the world, Mary carried the Light within her. As we await the dawn of our Savior’s birth, we too are invited to watch, to wait, and to hope.
