Mr. Joshua Forbes has had a long medical journey that began when he was 11 years old. As a child, he was in a horrible car accident. After more than 40 surgeries, he still lost his left arm.
Now, that boy has grown to a man of 43 years. He is now a husband and a father, but he is still having issues. His right leg doesn't have cartilage or ligaments anymore, which causes him to fall after only a few steps without assistance. Because of the problems and pain in that leg, he will be having surgery on December 1st to amputate it.
After the surgery, their home will need to be made wheelchair accessible. He is on Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and his wife had to quit her job in order to be a caretaker. This means they need our help with getting these updates done and with other expenses that come along with this type of surgery and recovery.
This is where you come in! Every donation helps to aid in the financial burden of this situation on this sweet family.
Join us on November 15th at Higher Destiny Church in Denham Springs for a fundraiser to support Joshua. We will be selling Chicken Alfredo plates for $10. At the event, there will also be various baked goods and lemonade for sale.
