For August's Gathering, we will have Brenda Flowers from Raising Against All Odds be our guest speaker.
Gatherings are independently organized groups of LGBTQ Latter-day Saints and allies. As we discuss Christlike love and teachings through the lens of LGBTQ individuals, family, friends, and allies, we can strengthen each other’s faith.
Each month, Gatherings will provide discussion questions, as well as stories of faith from LGBTQ Latter-day Saints, family members, or allies.
Scott Mena will be leading the meetings. Afterwards, it can be time to socialize. Water and light refreshments will be provided. You are more than welcome to bring a snack to share with others.
Rising Against All Odds provides free and confidential HIV testing and counseling. We support health in communities and extend comprehensive NON-CLINICAL case -management services to all in our community in need. We provide Peer Advocates, Consulting, and Public Forums dedicated to the elimination of HIV one person-one community at a time. Providing HIV awareness, prevention education and encouragement for medication adherence will promote responsible living.
