TIWLT is hosting a playfully fun evening from 5 to 7pm on Friday, October 24, 2025. This is the fifth year we are doing this flagship Halloween event and we are very excited!
Our costumed guides will take children and their parents on a walkthrough of the Glen Elbe property, visiting various “spooky species” along the way. At each stop participants will receive a Halloween treat, and hear some fun facts from that animal about what makes it so cool. The talk is aimed at easing fear and building interest in those species that traditionally can scare kids.
After visiting all five spooky species, there will be a campfire to roast marshmallows and hot dogs, before we wrap up at 7pm.
This is a FREE event. If you’re able, we welcome & appreciate donations and there will be a jar available.
** Please REGISTER for this event by emailing
cmViZWNjYSAhIGRlc3ByZXMgfCB0aXdsdCAhIGNh to tell us how many kids/adults you are bringing. We won’t turn anyone away who hasn’t registered but we can’t guarantee you food if you haven’t. There are no tickets but you will be greeted by one of us checking your names off the registration list.
Location: Glen Elbe Learning Centre, 870 County Road 42, Athens, Ontario.
This is not a drop-in event. We start our trick or treat journey at 5pm SHARP!
If you can, please bring a Flashlight, a Halloween candy bag, warm clothes, and come in Halloween costume (if you want).
Each child must have an adult with them, groups are fine.
Come see what spooky species we have for you this year!
