Dumpling-Making with Dicky's Dumps

Learn to make dumplings from scratch in this hands-on cooking class! We'll cover traditional folding techniques and proper pan-frying methods to create delicious homemade dumplings.

Your class will start with a demo of spicy wontons that you'll get to sample while learning about the basic dumpling-making principles. Next, dive into your hands-on portion as you learn to work with dumpling wrappers and practice the essential techniques for perfect dumplings including: filling portions and placement, pleating and folding methods for different dumpling shapes, sealing techniques, and tips and tricks for consistent results. You'll use a steam-fry method to cook your dumplings and learn the importance heat control, timing and water steam techniques to achieve a dumpling with a golden brown bottom and tender, steamed tops.
