"Milking It For Ages: What Archaeological Sciences Can Tell Us About the Origins of Dairying" with Whitney Dickson.

How long have humans been milking other mammals? Where and when did we start doing that? Which species did we use to begin this agricultural practice?

Please join your friendly neighbourhood archaeologist, Whitney Dickson, and we'll take a look through evidence from the archaeological record. We'll also explore the ways some relatively recent scientific and technological innovations (from osteology to genomic sequencing to stable isotopic analyses) have introduced new information and even changed our interpretations of old evidence.

This event will be followed by a free soup and sandwich lunch. Attendance is free, but donations to help cover our costs are encouraged (recommended donation: $10).
