Just in time for All Hollows' Eve:
The CFACA presents The Art of Horror Pop-Up Art Show on Sunday October 26th, 2025 at the Abbey Bar in DeLand, FL, starting at 1pm.
http://www.abbeybardeland.com
This show will feature perhaps the finest collection of Bernie Wrightson originals every displayed publicly. Well, at least since Bernie's own art show in 1978, that the pictured poster artwork above was created to promote.
There will be originals from Wrightson's Frankenstein, Christopher Zavista Poster Paintings, Swamp Thing, and many more. Rest assured, you've never seen a Wrightson display like this before and likely never will again.
There will also be the public unveiling of one of the most significant pieces of horror movie poster artwork that was painted by one of the most famous people in the world. You likely didn't even know he was an artist. This painting was lost for decades only to finally be found alive and well after 40 years.
To add even more, there will be some of the rarest and most desirable vintage horror movie posters on display, such as a Frankenstein poster from the original release in 1931.
Last, but not least there will be a collection of original screen used horror movie props, including a dress Kathy Bates wore in Misery.
We are going to have horror trivia with prizes and be sure to dress the part. It will almost be Halloween! So, there will be a costume contest as well.
This event is being held to benefit the host establishment, the Abbey Bar in DeLand.
Please come and enjoy the art, have fun and support the cause.
