Friday Book Group Discussion

The Friday Book Group will meet on the second floor of the library on Friday, December 19 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss Time of the Child by Niall Williams.

Time of the Child follows Dr. Jack Troy and his daughter Ronnie, lifelong residents of the small village of Faha whose quiet routines are upended during Advent of 1962 when a baby is unexpectedly left in their care. As they navigate the responsibilities and mysteries surrounding the child, both father and daughter confront long-held assumptions about family, love, and their place in the community. Set over a single, the novel offers a warm, tender portrait of a village transformed by compassion and unexpected hope.
