Women Aging Well Book Club focuses on the whole person-body, mind, and spirit-with the goal to empower women to live healthier lives with a sense of purpose, through and beyond menopause.
We are inviting women who are actively seeking community, lifelong learning experiences, and discussion to join us in a book club style class to read and practice from Paving a Woman’s Path Through Menopause and Beyond, by Tollefson, Frates, & Comander (2023)
The pillars of lifestyle medicine promotes health and prevents disease through six key pillars: a whole-food, plant-predominant diet, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance or risky substances, and positive social connections.
Lifestyle medicine uses therapeutic lifestyle interventions, such as diet, exercise, and stress management, as a primary modality to aging well.
Participants meet every other week for 6 sessions in an in-person format, to discuss and learn about the 12 PAVING Wheel steps and how to implement them into their lives.
Participants will be provided chapters to read prior to sessions.
The group is led by a healthcare practitioner who educates and facilitates group discussion.
6 meetings Wednesdays 11-12
9/24, 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3
$134 includes classes with book rental.
Option to keep the book for an additional $50
