The Historic Lincoln Square Theater is honored to present the premiere of Trick and Treats, a local indie horror film, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, just in time for Halloween!
The film is directed by Mt. Zion native Eric Hector and stars Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) with Gary Busey (Lethal Weapon).
The movie was filmed on the soundstage at Mt. Zion's Heroic Age Art Center, as well as on locations across Decatur, Macon County, and surrounding areas.

Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater had a wife and couldn't keep her. So, he put her in a pumpkin shell, and there he kept her very well. The trick is figuring out how many pieces you have to cut your wife into before she'll fit inside a pumpkin.
Short Synopsis
On Halloween, Ashley and her friends find themselves locked in a biker bar, facing torture and death. All is lost until Ashley hears the legendary jack-o-lantern "Trick" (Malcolm McDowell) whispering in her mind. Is he trying to help, or is he merely a product of Ashley's panicked imagination? The trick is figuring it out before everybody dies.
