Intro to Thai Massage Workshop

We are delighted to be bringing Thai Massage to The Medicine Bar and share the jewels of this sacred art. Master Teacher Ariela Grodner will have just returned from Thailand and we anticipate this will be her best introduction class ever!

Over the course of this workshop, students will learn an hour and a half long massage form. Practiced on the floor, this form enables the therapist the use of elbows, knees, forearms and feet in a comfortable and efficient way that utilizes the body dynamic and ones own weight to distribute the pressure required for the individual. The recipient lies relaxed and loosely clothed while the practitioner guides them through a series of yogic asanas and applies balancing touch to the body’s major energy lines and points.

Thai Massage is an art whose ultimate objective is a perfected self-awareness through the joy of a mutually beneficial healing dance. LMTs, Yoga teachers, health care providers and all lovely humans are welcome to join. Thai Massage is for everyone.

The weekend provides the necessary foundation for future techniques to be based upon, but also can serve as a stand alone practice, In other words, you can practice phase 1 for years or if your hungry for more, there is unlimited growth potential.

This 2-day workshop is a hands-on fully immersive learning experience and will run Saturday 2/28 and Sunday 3/1 from 10:15am - 5:15pm.
