Have you ever wondered what styles of quilts were popular in the 19th century, or how scholars know how old a quilt is? If so, this Bootcamp is for you! Spend a day with VQM Executive Director Alicia Thomas and Quilt Historian Mea Clift and learn about the history of quilting and how to date a quilt. This day-long event will feature 3 lectures, a quilt turning of 30 quilts, and plenty of time for questions. Limited to 20 participants this event is geared towards those who are curious about quilting and the stories quilts can tell us, no experience with historic quilts or quilt research necessary.
Coffee, bagels, a boxed lunch, drinks, and a gift bag will be provided. Please bring your own notebook and pencil for taking notes.

3:15 - 4:45 pm - Bringing it All Together: A Quilt Turning of 30 Quilts - Alicia & Mea
4:45 - 5:30 pm - Q&A and Wrap Up
5:30 - 6:30 pm - Time to visit the museum exhibits and shop
