International Observe the Moon Night

International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide celebration of lunar science & exploration, as well as the moon in arts and culture.

Join Longway Planetarium staff and For-Mar Naturalists to explore crater science, moon maps, sketch the moon, and investigate the trails for nocturnal animals, all by headlamp or flashlight. Red filters will be available for your lights to protect night vision.

𝘈 𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯. 𝘈 𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘪𝘯𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦.
