Heavy Fighting! Rapier Fighting! Star Clock Class! Gather!
The sleeper has awakened! Windy Meads now has a Fighter Practice & Gather! Please spread the word!
Friends of Windy Meads, our cousins near and far, please help us populate our first few practices so that we may create a grand and joyful spectacle and recruit more to our SCA family. (It also makes for a pretty fun date night!)
We have a new Marshal in town. Blackwolf (Nick Baird) will be overseeing our heavy fighting and we will soon have our own rapier marshal!
This is also a Gather so we are asking all who would wish to make merry, share comradery, their Arts & Sciences and bardic arts to please join our gathering. For our first gathering (Sept 5th) we will be offering a "make your own medieval star clock" astrolabe class. All materials will be provided. Kid friendly activity with parent or guardian.
Garb is optional but some of us are dressing up for the fun of it! Note that there is an awesome frozen yogurt shop and other restaurants just steps away! The site has very nice flush bathrooms and is wheelchair friendly with parking just a few feet from where we will gather.

Starting in September, Practice & Gather will be held on the first and third Fridays of the month, except when there are other event conflicts.
Location: Davis Central Park Address: 5th St & B St, 401 C St, Davis, CA 95616
Directions: We will be meeting near the restrooms by 4th and C streets Practice starts around 6:30 pm. Martial activities will include both heavy and rapier. A&S projects and general socialization are very welcome.
