The Hurt Hub welcomes David Lusk, a nationally recognized advocacy expert (and Hurt Hub community member!), as he presents the power of storytelling. While effective storytelling is key to successful policy advocacy, storytelling has an even greater application in our professional and personal worlds. There is a science and methodology to telling effective stories, as our brains are hard-wired to both ingest and tell stories. But what makes a story persuasive and is this something easily replicated?
Learn why stories are actually in our biological DNA, predating even language, how science has uncovered the value of storythinking as well as storytelling, and the seven elements of an effective story.
