The Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council (DIHAC) is delighted to announce Corks for a Cause, a special fundraising event supporting free art classes for local children from preschool through fifth grade
The event will take place on Thursday, September 4, from 6 to 8 PM at The Carriage on Dauphin Island, located at 1522 Bienville Blvd, Dauphin Island, AL 36528.
For $40 per person, attendees can enjoy an assortment of fine hors d’oeuvres and decadent desserts prepared by Executive Chef Suzanne Phillips, a cash bar, professional live music, and breathtaking sunset views from the venue’s deck, all while contributing to a wonderful cause. The evening will feature a silent auction featuring art work by local artists, providing an opportunity for guests to take home unique pieces while supporting the arts in our community. Tickets are limited, so secure your spot today and help keep art education thriving for our community’s youngest creators.
About Our Children's Art Program:
Our “Art After School” program is an enriching initiative that brings hands-on art education to children across Dauphin Island, Bayou La Batre, Coden, Theodore, Grand Bay, Irvington, and St. Elmo. Guided by talented artists Terri Baker and Odie Tucker, this program provides small-group classes that spark imagination, build artistic skills, and encourage self-expression and confidence in a fun, nurturing setting. Your support helps us keep class sizes small, materials stocked, and doors open to teaching more young artists.
This event is generously hosted by The Carriage: Dauphin Island.
