U Are the Universe - screening at Deckchair Cinema

This tender, genre-blending sci-fi dramedy from Pavlo Ostrikov shares the story of a lonely Ukrainian space trucker who thinks he is the last human alive after Earth’s destruction. With deadpan humour and aching sincerity, it’s a cosmic love story about connection, hope, and the quiet defiance of reaching for someone in the void. Completed against enormous odds after the invasion of Ukraine, the film won the 2025 Boston Science Fiction Film Festival ‘Best Feature’ Award.
