Get ready for a unforgettable sonic soiree live at Bustard Town as globally acclaimed beat wizard Spoonbill (aka Jim Moynihan) takes the stage on 6th September, celebrating 20 years since the release of his debut album Megafauna. ��An audio alchemist of the highest order, Spoonbill is part musician, part sound designer, part industrial designer, and 100% uniquely Spoonbill. His kaleidoscopic sound world fuses lush textures, glitchy grooves, and heavily edited live instrumentation into a signature stew that’s won hearts and hips on dancefloors across the globe.��Megafauna was followed by the critically acclaimed Nestegg in 2007 — which scored Album of the Week on ABC Radio National, PBS Melbourne and Triple R — Spoonbill’s unique musical flair and extensive body of work has seen him tour the world.
Spoonbill is widely respected as a pioneering producer that has influenced the sound of groove based electronica, especially in the Bass and Glitch Hop genres. In 2015 Spoonbill won ‘Album of the Year’ for Tinkerbox and came runner up for ‘Producer of the Year’ at the UK Glitch Hop Awards.
Spoonbill is joined by Kuya James, Mista Monk and Miss Possum for a jam packed night of world class unique beats and otherworldly sonic treats!
