FREE family friendly October holiday activities

Come and explore our North West history by trying your hand at weaving, with artist and heritage machinery technician Caitlin Binks.

There will be a variety of looms for you to try out, from cardboard looms to a rigid heddle loom to a big frame loom.

You will be able to contribute to some communal weaving artworks, or even create your own to take home! All materials provided.

The workshop will run as a drop in activity between 11am and 3pm near the Candy Rush stall inside Darwen Market.

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

This is a free event supported with funding from Arts Council England, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council and Blackburn & Darwen Markets.

The activity is organised and managed by Culturapedia and Spot On Lancashire.
