Conrad Humphreys : Mutiny, Extreme Storytelling at Sea

Conrad Humphreys is a professional sailor and storyteller. He has raced around the world three times, including victory in the BT Global Challenge and becoming only the fifth British sailor to complete the legendary Vendée Globe.

He was the professional skipper for the hit Channel 4 TV series, Mutiny, where 9 crew were abandoned in the South Pacific with only enough rations for a few days, recreating the story of Lieutenant William Bligh’s epic 4,000-mile open boat journey across the South Pacific. The crew sailed 4000 miles from Tonga to Timor in 60 days to rediscover the incredible voyage of William Bligh following the Mutiny on the Bounty.

We are excited to announce that Conrad is bringing the actual boat used in that series ‘Bounty’ and it will be ‘moored up’ right outside The Flavel so you can see it for yourselves from 6pm. The bar will also be open from 6pm so you can arrive early, see the boat and pick up a drink before the talk commences at 7.30pm.

About The Explorer Series
We are presenting a series of inspiring talks by some truly amazing individuals who are Explorers in their chosen field. The series starts in October with an evening led by Conrad Humphreys. Conrad is a highly accomplished yachtsman with over two decades of experience leading teams through some of the world’s most hostile environments.
