Hawk Watch at Susquehannock Wildlife Center

September 28th (Sun.) Hawk Watch at Susquehannock Wildlife Center 9 am-3pm. Co-leaders John Garrison & Elaine Scribner-Wagner (517-622-1211 YXV0aG9yZWxhaW5lc2NyaWJuZXIgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ==). Join us as we search for migratory south-bound raptors at the hawk watch platform at the Susquehannock Wildlife Conservation Center (1725 Trappe Church Rd., Darlington, MD 2134). We will meet at 9am and walk the trails around the property in search of migrating songbirds as we make our way to our hilltop hawk watch platform. Once we reach the hawk watching platform we will sit or stand and tally migrating raptors as they fly through the Deer Creek Valley. The hawk watch will end at 3pm; however you do not have to stay for the entire day. Please bring lots of water, snacks, some comfortable footwear, and outdoor clothing. Target birds for the trip include Broad-winged Hawk, Sharp-Shinned Hawk, and other raptors.
