I’m looking to organize a Christmas Boat Parade in Darien on Saturday, December 13th!
A ton of folks have asked… so here it is:
I’m ready to make this happen — but we need at least 50 boats to light up the Darien River the way it deserves.
I’ve already handled the legwork:
✅ Sign-up sheets
✅ Marketing materials
✅ Prize categories for best-decorated boats
✅ Sponsors + donated prizes lined up
All we need now are the boats and the people who want to make this a yearly tradition.
🌟 Bonus idea:
It’d be awesome to kick the day off with a daylight parade leaving Shellman Bluff, then cruise to Darien for staging and the full nighttime parade.
