Reformer on the Mat

Step back in time and rediscover a little-known, playful side of Pilates! In the mid-90s, at Drago’s gym under Romana’s apprenticeship, there were always more apprentices than reformers. One day, on a whim, we brought the Reformer exercises onto the big blue mats by the open windows—right alongside the apparatuses. Every Reformer exercise we knew was applied to the mat, and Romana loved it… as did we!

This workshop explores that same spirit of creativity and adaptability. Using only a mat, you’ll learn how to translate Reformer exercises without losing the precision, flow, and integrity of the Method. It’s a practical, inspiring way to expand your teaching, deepen your understanding, and have a little fun along the way.
