Leah Gilkerson, Kaitlyn Parker and others will read from their stories in "25 Tales: Even More Appalachian Ghost Stories & Mysteries."

The Unkind Raven, in the 1840 Hynds House, has unique history and a unique booktique. Join us for an evening of creepy fun. Our hosts will be joined by siblings Mark Tidwell and Susan Tidwell Brown. Mark has written of the unbreakable bond of two members of the greatest generation. Susan has a hair-raising tale from her time at Berea College in Kentucky.

Judith Duvall will explain how her spicy charm proved too scary for ghosts, while Carson Newman's Mike Sobiech takes a hard look at a bizarre Morristown event from the fifties. Anna Wooliver Phillips goes even further back in time with a colonial massacre in what is now West Knoxville.
