Join us at Brazos Bend State Park to explore more of everything there is to discover here at your very own State Park!

Saturday December 27th
-10:00am All about Us! – First time or 50th time at our park? Join us at our 0.5-mile paved trail to learn about our diverse ecosystem. Along the trail, read and enjoy our bronze plates showcasing a few key residents. This short but highly information guided hike will remind you why you love our park. Meet at the Nature Center for this Creekfield Lake Hike.
-1:00pm Alligators From Egg to Apex – They are the rulers of the swamps, but they start life at the bottom. Learn about the epic lives of Brazos Bend’s most popular resident.

Sunday December 28th

-2:00pm The Old Tree’s Beard – Spanish moss is everywhere in our park, decorating the trees like garlands in our swamps and forests, but what does it do and what is it good for? Join us at the Nature Center to learn about the impact Spanish moss has made on both wildlife and humankind!
