Please note: Completion of Level Five Improv at Stomping Ground is required to take this course. It is highly recommended that students have at least a year of experience performing before taking this class.
Who says you can't rehearse improv? In this seven week course, students will learn the skills they need to effectively guide rehearsals and practices with improv troupes and shows, structuring rehearsals with clear goals that meet the needs of your team. In this hands-on seven week course, students will gain practice leading exercises, providing clear and constructive feedback in notes and useful side coaching, creating deliberately designed lessons that build upon the strengths of your group and target areas of improvement. This class is for students who have completed Level Five of the training program at Stomping Ground or has equivalent training and at least one year experience in improvisation with permission from the Training Center Director and is recommended for anyone wanting to coach, direct, or teach at Stomping Ground Comedy Theater.

About Your Instructor:
Greg Mihalik is the Training Center Director and improv curriculum lead at Stomping Ground as well as being an instructor, producer/director, and performer. He received his BA in Theatre from Lehigh University and his MFA in Theater Arts from Rutgers University. He has studied improvisation in both New York City and Dallas, completing musical and regular improv programs at the Hideout Theater in Austin and the Magnet Theater in New York where he performed on weekly Harold and musical improv house teams. At Stomping Ground he has developed curriculum for the Core Improv program, Musical Improv program, and Improv for Anxiety class, as well as assisting in the Youth program and Stand Up Comedy. He has managed and trained instructors at SG for the last five years while both teaching and coaching. In his day job he's been a theatre, improv, and playwriting teacher for middle school, high school, and college age students, currently teaching at Greenhill School in Addison.
This is a 7 week recurring course held Mondays from 7-9:30pm starting March 2nd. The instructor is Greg Mihalik. All sales are final. Price of class does not include Eventbrite's service fee (3.7% + $1.79) and payment processing fee (2.9%) which will be added to the total price at checkout. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older.
