🌿 Amphibians of the Cache River Program & Optional Hike 🌿

Join us at the Cache River Wetlands Center for an engaging program with Tony Gerard, Biology Instructor at Shawnee College and President of the Friends of The Cache River Watershed.

Tony will share insights into the fascinating amphibians that call the Cache River area home — from frogs and toads to salamanders — and explain their important role in wetland ecosystems.

Following the indoor presentation, participants are invited to join an optional guided amphibian hike, where we will explore moist habitats and identify species in the field.

If you plan to attend the hike portion, please:
💧 Bring water
👟 Wear appropriate footwear for moist soil
👖 Dress for field conditions

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about one of the most important and sensitive indicator groups in our wetlands.
