Basic Blacksmithing for Beginners

Curious about blacksmithing? This hands-on beginner class is the perfect place to start—no prior experience required!

You’ll begin with the basics:
• Shop safety and fire management
• Hammering techniques
• Tapering, bending, and shaping

As the class progresses, you’ll be introduced to more advanced methods and use your new skills to create a custom item like a hook or keychain to take home.

This class offers a fun, focused introduction to blacksmithing and prepares you for the next step: Intermediate Blacksmithing with Focus on Projects.
