Woodroad Leisure Park & Playground
28 Keir Hardie Hill, Cumnock, United Kingdom
Join GSAB's Nature Recovery officer Antoine Lemaire for a guided walk in the beautiful woodland at Woodroad park in Cumnock. Together we will explore the woodlands looking for woodland creatures and the signs they leave behind. Feeding signs, scat, footprints, sounds, feathers and hair. On the walk we will learn how to create a plaster cast of a hoof, foot or paw print (if we find some!).
After the walk we will convene to observe and discuss our findings further and learn more about woodland ecology.
Parking & Meeting Point: We will meet at the parking lot at Woodroad park. Please arrive slightly before 9am so we can get organised and have plenty of time for the walk.
Accessibility: During this walk we will follow animal tracks and runs which will take us off the beaten track. This means we may have to negotiate low branches, steep terrain, muddy patches etc.
