El Combo Cumbialandia was invited to perform in Haida Gwaii in January by the Haida Gwaii Arts Council!
But alas, we are a motley bunch of lowish income Cumberland musicians and we need community help to afford our travel expenses.
So we thought, "hey! Let's have a holiday time family-friendly cumbia dance party fundraiser"! So that's what we're doing!
December 30th at the Weird Church Cumberland, doors at 5:30 by donation only!
And there's more, this will be the FIRST performance of a secretive female folk/rock band, made up of many of Cumberlands most famous musicians. So secret, we can't even reveal whom they are. But DEFINITELY not to be missed.
There might even be an auction, dance lessons, WHO KNOWS.
