Artist Spotlight: An Interview with Angela Hedderick

As part of our ongoing effort to support and celebrate local creativity, the Ferleman Gallery is proud to present our Artist Spotlight interview series featuring the local voices behind the art. In each conversation, a local artist will share the story behind their work—their motivations, their artistic journey, and what it means to create within and for the community. These interviews offer a closer look at the people whose visions shape our local culture and provide a platform for authentic connection between artist and audience.

Join us for a heartfelt conversation with Angela Hedderick, a Cumberland-based artist, mother, and farmer whose artwork captures the charm, character, and everyday beauty of rural life in Western Maryland. From painting historic home portraits like Terra Angelica and Evergreen Estates to capturing the personality of her neighbor’s cows or the vibrance of garden harvests, Angela’s work reflects a deep love for her surroundings.
