Local Author Talk: Dawn Helmrich

Dawn will read from her book The Blue Flower Curtain. The book follows the journey of Dawn a 21-year-old woman newly married who is brutally attacked on her way to a party. What was 45 minutes of torture turns into years of turmoil fear and mental health issues and also a lifetime of dedication determination and advocacy for other survivors of sexual assault. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
